New Year 2012 greetings from Very Venerable Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche

I would like to wish all of you "Tashi Delek" for the New Year of 2012. Though I have recently had a spell of not such good health, because of compassion of the lamas and the Three Jewels as well as the long-life pujas of the Sangha and the prayers and aspirations of my students, I am now getting better and better. So n...ow I would like to make a prayer that all of you students of mine encounter no difficulties or obstacles. I would like to pray that there be no problems or difficulties in the world and that all those who practice the Dharma have no impediments or problems in their lives.

Lama Tashi Wangchuk is back to school as Vice Principal

POSTED ON: 14TH FEB. 2012
Lama Tashi Wangchuk, who recently completed three-year retreat, has been appointed vice-principal at SMDB School by our root guru, Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche.
On 13th February, the school organized a welcome ceremony at which Principal Khenpo Chonyi Rangdrol, other teachers, and students were present. Some students and teachers gave welcoming speeches. The principal and Karma Phurbu said that the school is very fortunate to have him, as he has great knowledge of modern education as well as spiritual practice.
Lama Tashi Wangchuk served for seven years as vice principal of the school, from 2001 (the year the school was established) till 2007, when he entered retreat. When asked how he is feeling about coming back to school, he said, "I am very happy to continue old stories in a new place." He found that Namo Buddha looks like a new place as it has developed a lot and gone more green. He said that meeting again is all about karma, so we should make it good by respecting and loving each other like in the past.
SMDB School hearty welcomes newly appointed vice-principal.
